Navy midshipmen tickets injured quarterback considers quitting

Quit when you are on a high. If you are struggling with an injury, try your best to come out of it. If you cant, then quit! At least, this seems to be thinking of the Navy Quarterback who has considered quitting!

There are precious few things anyone can do when they are down injured. Waiting for the injury to heal is definitely one option. Working through the rehab process could be considered another. But then, there are times when neither of them seem to work! At these times, retirement seems to be the best option for players. At least, you would be on the good side of the management, who may not afford seeing you on the bench for a long time.

Star Navy quarterback KaipoNoa KaheakuEnhada Read Enhada, has been struggling with a hamstring injury for some time now. Enhada picked up this injury in the game against Temple on Senior Day. Surprisingly, this was one of the off days for the quarterback as nothing he tried seem to be working. He tried to fake a shot on the other end of the pitch, and immediately felt something giving. Immediately, he limped off the pitch and retired on the bench and did not participate in the game any further.

The Temple match was all the more memorable for Enhadas as his mother had come to watch the match after finishing off with the Senior Day festivities. To retire like this in front of a big Senior Day crowd, which includes none other than your mother, is indeed a shame for any player. But Enhada was justified in doing so, as the need of the hour was more logic than bravado.
Since then, Enhada has spent about a month in rehab. He has missed many games in the interim and has made some starts, only to show up with some unimpressive performances. In fact, a lot of people had started calling for Enhadas head claiming that his prime was over and other comments of this nature. Enhada himself had his reasons to believe that he could repeat the magic of last year, which will shut the mouth of the critics.

But for that, he had to get rid of the injury completely! For any football player, a hamstring injury is very threatening. It may seem like a minor niggle, but if not cured fast, it could hamper the career of a player. The same thing happened with Enhada. What seemed to be a promising start to his career culminated in rather unfortunate circumstances leading to him retiring from active football playing.

A lot of people feel that Enhada could have given it some more time. Possibly, the injury could have healed and he could yet have come back to the field. But after dissecting the decision of Enhada, one can easily come to a conclusion that the decision was a welltaken one in the best interest of Enhada and the Navy management as well.
